The AP series of press fittings, made in accordance with UNI EN ISO 21003-3, UNI EN 1254-3 and DM 174, are designed and manufactured to increase sealing characteristics and reduce assembly time, thus facilitating the installer in installation.
Equipped with a double o-ring seal and a PE ring to eliminate any stray currents, they are used in hydro-thermo-sanitary systems and are available in a diverse range of figures in diameters.
The seal between the pipe and the fitting is ensured by the profile of the hose barb and the simultaneous presence of two orings positioned in the hose barb itself.Through the use of a pressing machine equipped with appropriate pliers, the hose barb is permanently deformed, and the compressive force of the pressing in turn deforms the multilayer pipe on the appropriate profile.
And made of AISI 304 steel subjected to an additional solubilization process, so as to eliminate any residual stresses present in the material and ensure an even distribution of stresses over time; the solubilization process is of fundamental importance because it is able to cancel the historical memory of the material, thus eliminating the danger of rupture and subsequent leakage in the fitting itself.
In contrast to compression fittings, the coupling of press fittings has the unique characteristic of being immovable: this means that, when properly pressed, the AP fitting undergoes a permanent deformation that guarantees tightness over time. Precisely for this reason, press-fitting is the only system used and guaranteed in laying undertrack.
The AP series fittings can be laid using different pressing profiles (TH, H, B, U): in order to achieve a perfect joint between pipe and fitting and to guarantee the best performance conditions of the system, it is of paramount importance to use tongs with suitable pressing profiles.
