Elusive systems used to divert traditional security systems have prompted equipment manufacturers to migrate from classic burglar alarm systems to more advanced systems that interface in turn with far more complex apparatus.
Analog and digital signals, voltages and pulses are suspended from a wire, a cable that must guarantee operation in all circumstances, in the presence of moisture, laid outside, pressed behind a piece of furniture or crammed into inadequate ductwork. Too often we generalize by thinking that one cable is as good as another, and never is the end user made aware of the fact that a simple cable that is broken, oxidized, with an inadequate cross-section, or due to neglect, can jeopardize the operation of a thousand-euro system, perhaps precisely at night.
If we consider, therefore, that in terms of cost, the cable represents on average less than 3 percent of the total investment for the implementation of the burglar alarm system and that a cable from the quality alarm is a key component for the proper functioning of the system, spending a few cents more per meter is really priceless.
