FS18OR18 cables belong to the AFIAM line and are marked Cca-s3,d1,a3, to indicate that they are compliant with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) in accordance with the requirements prescribed in EN 50575:2014+A1:2016 and to indicate that they are of the non-fire-propagating type in accordance with the self-extinguishing requirements prescribed in IEC EN 50399 in whose tests heat emission, smoke production and possible dripping during the flame development test are also measured.
FS18OR18 cables are also flame-retardant on the single vertical cable as per EN and IEC 60332-1-2 (IEC 20-35) tests. In addition, in order to prevent further risks from substances emitted during combustion of plastics, FS18OR18 cables are made of special halogen-reduced compounds, with the amount of hydrochloric acid, contained in the fumes emitted during combustion, less than 18%.
FS18OR18 cables belong to the ecological line called ECOGAMMA marked by the Windmill symbol. Lead, a heavy metal that is dangerous to the environment and to humans if present in excessive quantities, has been eliminated in these environmentally friendly cables.
