CAL 527630 8016615013184

Caleffi 527 Series Safety Valve, designed for pressure control in heat generators and heating systems. Certified and calibrated for maximum safety, this valve activates when the set pressure is reached, protecting the generator and system components from potential damage, with the following features:

  • Connections: Female inlet 1 inch outlet 1 1/4 inch
  • Pressure rating: 10 PN
  • Calibration 3 bar
  • Opening overpressure: <10% of calibration pressure
  • Closing gap: <20% of calibration pressure
  • Material: Brass

Brass construction and EPDM gasket ensure reliability and durability, while the oversized outlet design promotes efficient discharge capacity.

Caleffi safety valve 527 certified and calibrated 3 bar F 1 x 1 1/4

Safety valves are typically used to control pressure on heat generators in heating systems. When the set pressure is reached, the valve opens and, by venting to atmosphere, prevents the system pressure from reaching dangerous limits for the generator and the components in the system. The 527 series valves have positive action, i.e., performance is guaranteed even if the diaphragm deteriorates or ruptures.

Compatibility and versatility

The plug counteracted by a calibrated spring rises when the set pressure is reached and fully opens the discharge passage. The set pressure is chosen according to the maximum allowable pressure in the system. The diameter of the outlet port is larger to facilitate discharge of the required capacity. As the pressure decreases, the reverse action occurs, resulting in the valve closing again within the imposed tolerances.

Installation and maintenance

The relief valve must be installed respecting the direction of flow indicated by the arrow on the valve body.

Heating system:

Safety valves should be installed on the top of the heater or on the flow line at a distance of not more than one meter from the heater. The piping connecting the safety valve to the generator must not be tapped.

Compressed air system:

527 series safety valves are compatible for use on compressed air systems. Refer to the data on the bench calibration report for discharge flow rate values.

Mounting:

Safety valves can be mounted vertically or horizontally, not upside down. This prevents impurity deposits from impairing their proper operation.
