AM4000 is a microprocessor-based alarm control panel for the management of addressed-type fire fighting systems developed according to EN-54.2 and EN.54.4 EN.54.4 standards. It has 4 loops managing 99 detectors and 99 modules each, for a total of 396 detectors and 396 input/output interface modules. The control panel is also programmable via PC software (PK4000), which also allows saving of configurations and printing.

POWER SUPPLY: The control panel is powered by the mains voltage and, in the event of its failure, allows its normal operation to continue thanks to the rechargeable batteries contained in the control panel itself.

Battery charger:

  • Output voltage: 27.6 Vdc
  • Output current: 1A - ripple max 100 mVpp (with temperature compensation)
  • Connectable batteries: 2 x 12V 18 Ah max.
  • Signals: batteries exhausted, charging imbalance, battery release

OUTPUTS: One supervised output for sirens. Relay outputs with potential-free contacts: 1) general alarm, 2) general fault.

Advantages:

  • Microprocessor-based system
  • 4 lines
  • Each line can drive 99 sensors and 99 input and output modules
  • Graphic LCD display 8 lines by 40 columns (240x64 dots)
  • 2 serial interfaces in standard version: - 1 RS-485 interface to connect up to 22 between LCD6000N repeater panels and LCD6000A annunciators. - 1 RS-232 interface with provision for PK4000 software
  • 4 access levels developed according to EN54.2 and EN.54.4 standards 54.2 EN.54.4 EN.54.4
  • 3 password levels (operator, maintenance, configuration). ■ Programmable scripts: 32-character point description; 32-character zone description.
  • 150 physical zones and 400 logical groups
  • CBE (control-by-event) control equations for activations with logical operators (And, Or, delay, etc.)
  • Historical archive of 999 events in nonvolatile memory
  • Real-time clock
  • Auto-programming of line with automatic recognition of type of connected devices
  • Programming of predefined software functions for different devices in the field
  • Automatic recognition of points with the same address
  • Alarm and fault management
  • Alarm threshold for sensors programmable with 9 selections
  • Signaling of need for sensor cleaning
  • Reporting of low sensor sensitivity
  • Automatic day/night sensitivity changeover
  • WalkTest functions per zone
  • Keypad with dedicated keys for specific functions: Evacuation, Delay Reset, Buzzer Mute, Siren Reset Mute, Reset
  • Alphanumeric keys for field programming of the control unit
