The door magnets are used as devices to keep open the doors for the 'exclusion of fire protection (fire doors, automatic gates, fire shutters with self-closing mechanisms).
The fire door is usually kept open to allow easy passage and access through busy corridors, etc. Controlled by a fire detection or smoke protection control unit, the latch releases the door when power is interrupted and the door closer located above the door quickly closes the fire door to prevent the spread of flames and smoke through the building.
Integrated into the design, there is a spring-loaded anti-relief pin that provides zero residual holding force when the magnet is de-energised, allowing the fire door to close faster. The door stops have an integrated manual release button that allows the door to close without activating the fire alarm.
All electromagnets are designed to meet the latest requirements of EN1155 and DIN EN 14637.
