You can place Oasis in any room-this way you can take the device with you whenever you move from one room to another (the simple, elegant design is designed to fit any style). You just have to pay attention to the height from the floor. In rooms frequented by people, it must be at "nose height." It means, for example, that in a bedroom you can put it above the bedside table because, reasonably, it will be at the same level as the pillow you sleep on; in a living room or dining room, on the other hand, you will have to place it a little higher because people generally stand or sit there: the recommended height is five feet. If the room is the one that houses the boiler you will have to make sure that the device is 30 centimeters from the ceiling. This is because boiler rooms are usually warmer and the heat pushes carbon monoxide upward. In any case, the location should be dry, draft-free and away from heat sources. The detector should also never be placed in a corner or near objects that obstruct air circulation. The ideal distance from the potential source of monoxide (boiler, stove top) is between one and three meters. In short, with a portable detector you have the ultimate in convenience. The operating mechanism of the Oasi portable monoxide detector is no different from that of regular stationary detectors. In fact, the device is equipped with carbon monoxide sensors. When the CO concentration in the air exceeds certain thresholds, the device is activated with both an audible and visual alarm. Oasis works in continuous monitoring, constantly analyzing the surrounding air, and performs a self-test every 10 minutes: this is a check of the electronic components inside, including the sensor, to ensure that the detector is fully functional. If something does not work and the self-test fails, an alert is issued. In any case, it is possible to perform a function test at any time by simply acting on the relevant button.
