Uniks LINK LAN also allows you to measure the length of the cable and save the test results in its internal memory area. Each model has several remote units supplied and are able to recognise others (optional) in order to carry out an effective action of localisation of different points within a permutation framework, carrying out the tests very quickly with the help of a single operator.

The SPLIT PAIRS error condition is caused by the exchange of two conductors belonging to different pairs. Pin to Pin correspondence is maintained, but physically the wires of the pairs are crossed. The two crossed pairs affect each other making high frequency/speed data exchange difficult, if not impossible.
The test allows to verify the mapping of LAN, CAT5 and CAT6, UTS and STP type cables with RJ45 connector detecting eventual wiring errors.
