DS301 C L is the range of slim Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker in 1 module. Due to the compact size of the circuit breaker, space can be saved inside the switchboard by accommodating more circuits, thus ensuring better selectivity of the system. Alternatively, it is possible to reduce the size of the residential switchboard (compared with using the same number of differential circuit breakers in two modules).


 

The Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker is located next to the circuit breaker and integrates a magnetic protection to a thermal one and interrupts the electric current in case of need. The thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is, therefore, a system that combines the functions of the circuit breaker with magnetic and thermal features.


 

The Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker in the electrical system integrates three different protections:

• the magnetic one for short circuits that can endanger an entire building with the danger of fire
• the thermal one for overloads in the supply of electricity (for example, more than one appliance in operation)
