Instructions for use:
TO UNCLOG A DRAIN:
- Close the quick-action stopcock and tighten the screw without using pliers or other tools. Also close the slide valve
- Bring the pump to the desired pressure. We recommend trying with a pressure that is not too high (~ 3 bar) and increasing later if the pipe does not unclog
- Insert the conical plug into the drain to be unclogged, possibly using the larger diameter plugs supplied for larger drains
- After making sure that the drains connected to the drain to be unclogged are sealed with something so that the water necessarily present in the pipes does not escape (e.g. a wet rag), open the quick-action stopcock while holding the plug in the drain
TO TEST INSTALLATIONS:
- Connect the pump to the system to be tested using the hose supplied. Ensure that the hose is securely attached to the quick-action stopcock
- Close the quick-action stopcock and tighten the screw with the same precautions as above; open the slide valve and bring the pump to the desired pressure
- For the period of time relative to the test to be carried out, remember to close the slide valve. To keep the system under pressure without leaving the pump on site, MGF recommends using the HELP tool (code 904400 not supplied with the pump).
TO LOAD BOILER EXPANSION POTS: Connect the pump to the expansion tank to be loaded and carry out the operations (see points 1 and 2 in the text ‘to test systems’).
