D-Link's DGS-1250 Series Managed Gigabit Smart Switches with 10G uplink are the latest generation of switches offering increased Power over Ethernet (PoE), high port density, multiple management interfaces, and advanced Layer 2 features. With the combination of all these features, the DGS-1250 Series offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for expanding any enterprise network.
All models of the DGS-1250 Series include four 10G SFP+ ports, allowing the selection of the most suitable media type to mitigate network clogging.
All DGS-1250 Series PoE switches include IEEE 802.3af/at support with high PoE power available, up to 370W. This feature allows more PoE devices to be powered with a single switch and enables remote installation of devices that do not have access to power outlets.
The DGS-1250 Series also supports advanced features such as static routing and routing, which allow the network to be segmented into working groups that communicate via VLANs. This can reduce the load on core devices to enable the creation of a scalable and efficient network.
D-Link's innovative Safeguard Engine helps protect switches from traffic flooding caused by malicious attacks. The wide range of security and authentication features, such as 802.1X port-based authentication, Access Control List (ACL), Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing prevention, and IP-MAC-Port Binding, help enhance network security.
The DGS-1250 Series supports Auto Voice VLAN and Surveillance Mode, which enable the automatic identification of audio and video traffic, giving it the proper priority. Surveillance Mode includes a web-based user interface specifically designed for video surveillance, which facilitates access to these functions and simplifies management of the surveillance network.
The DGS-1250 Series can be managed with the web interface, the D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) utility, or the dedicated console port. In addition, the D-Link Network Assistant utility allows customers to easily locate multiple D-Link Managed Smart Switches within the same L2 network segment, as well as allowing them to be simultaneously configured and maintained. Full Command Line Interface (CLI)1 support gives network engineers greater control, accuracy and repeatability for network configuration.
