All 700 Series modules are equipped with an internal communication loop isolation device.

Applications:

Can be used to operate optical/acoustic signaling equipment in Y or Z style circuits (Class A or B). It can be programmed to operate electromagnets, shutters, etc., and to reset the power supply of conventional 4-wire and linear barrier smoke detectors. Controls include 2 rotary switches to directly program the address on the analog line from 1 to 99. It can be modified in the field to provide a single potential-free FORC contact (N.O. or N.C.).

Installation:

Thanks to its particular mechanical design the M-701E module, allows:

the wall mounting, in a special plastic container M200E-SMB
Mounting on standard 35mm x 7.5mm DIN rail by means of M200E-DIN plastic adapter.
mounting on panel by means of plastic adapter M200E-PMB.

Operation:

Each M-701E module uses one of the 99 addresses available on the loop. It responds to periodic polling from the control unit and reports the type and status of the connected device to the control unit: The flashing LED indicates that the module is in communication with the control unit. Upon command from the control unit, the module activates its internal relay, sending data on its status to the control unit. The FORC type configuration (potential-free changeover contacts) is obtained by suitably selecting the dip switches (see figure below). The address can be programmed before or after installation.
