Model SCALA2 is a fully integrated, compact pump with automatic priming designed for pressure boosting in domestic applications. Model SCALA2 has built-in speed modulation to maintain optimal pressure on faucets.
Installation of SCALA2 requires 3 simple steps:
- Connection to the system piping
- Priming the pump
- Connecting the plug to the electrical outlet
SCALA2 is equipped with all the necessary components to ensure optimal pressure:
- Intelligent controller
- Speed-controlled drive
- Diaphragm tank
- Sensors
- Check valves
As a self-priming pump, SCALA2 can draw water from a level below the pump. It can draw liquid down to a depth of 8 m in less than 5 minutes (provided it is filled with water). This facilitates installation and initial start-up of the pump, and also enables a more reliable water supply in installations exposed to the risk of dry running or leaks in the suction pipe or system.
In the event of dry running, absence or excessive water temperature, or blockage, the pump will stop automatically to prevent the motor from burning out. It is equipped with automatic restart, in case of dry run or similar alarms, the pump will stop. Then, it will attempt restart every 5 minutes for 8 times, and once every 24 hours thereafter.
Due to its hydraulics, permanent magnet motor, and water cooling, the pump is very quiet (47 dB(A) during typical use), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor home installations. The maximum sound pressure level at full load is 53 dB(A).
The premounted tank reduces the number of starts/stops in case of leaks in the system, decreasing wear and tear on the pump. SCALA2 does not require maintenance, but it is recommended to keep the pump clean, check check valves and remove dust from ventilation holes.
